LaKia Moore was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her childhood was marked by deep trauma — sexually and physically abused by her father, neglected by her mother, and silenced by shame. Her father, a respected church leader and community figure, preached from the pulpit while she carried his dark secret alone in the pews.

Raised by her father and stepmother, LaKia struggled to understand why her mother wasn’t present in her life. As the only fully Black child in a household where her father had married a white woman, she endured rejection, isolation, and racism from her stepmother’s family.

Even in the midst of brokenness, church choirs, and praise dancing, she lived with silence, pain, and invisibility — yet those scars became the soil for her resilience.

Today, LaKia is an author, mother, business owner, and psychology student. In her debut book, Potent No Moore Victim, she transforms her suffering into testimony, sharing her journey of survival and healing. Her story is not just about pain, but about reclaiming power, finding her voice, and shining light into the darkest places.
